A ranching family in Montana faces off against others encroaching on their land. Forrie J. Smith, who plays Lloyd, is an expert in the rodeo world. John Dutton (Kevin Costner) frequently seems to “forget” his stuff. his Montana accent and reverts to the Southern California voice he normally uses. I don’t think anyone does westerns better than Kevin Costner and with Taylor Sheridan writing it, it’s a win-win situation for viewers. Check out “Wind River” for an example of what Taylor Sheridan can do. Where is Cole Hauser hiding? He’s amazing. I guess the daughter is a necessary role, but he goes overboard on being a bitch. The scenery is fantastic and being from Colorado I can really appreciate the vast and beautiful land. Do yourself a favor and get hooked on this series because it’s going to be a winner.
