The special effects were incredible

The acting was good

But there were SO many storylines. And none of them had enough time to be fully developed. Each of the storylines could have been the focus of the entire movie. Each storyline was hastily concocted and wrapped up so quickly. It’s such a shame.

He didn’t add anything to the movie

And they put too much focus on Lydia’s father. Honestly they didn’t even have to address the fact that he wasn’t in the movie. The actor is a real life sex offender so why discuss his character? There are also a lot of ghosts from the first part that I think should have been in this sequel – just use makeup and special effects like they did for Beetlejuice. Or change them if you don’t want them to look like they’ve aged.

It was boring

Also, I almost gave up during the first hour. The movie didn’t get good until the second hour.
