The producers convinced the American and British governments to allow them to use real-world locations for the series, including the recently opened U.S. Britain allowed filming in the Foreign Secretary’s office, a rare honor for any film or production, especially an American one. The only location that was unavailable was Winfield House, the actual residence of the U.S.

Season 1 ended on a gigantic cliffhanger

Boy, was I right?

Season 2 almost had a heart attack in the final minutes of season 2. I don’t know if my heart can handle season 3. At first I thought this was a pivotal, slow-burn political drama. Maybe a different kind of *feel good* TV drama like Madame Secretary.

It’s beyond my wildest dreams

The Diplomat will keep you on the edge of your seat every episode. You look at them like a starving animal. This is political theater at its best. Even if it’s only 1-tenth of the truth about what REALLY happens in American politics and the various agencies (CIA, Secret Service, diplomacy), it’s still a wild ride for Keri Russell, who reminded me of the main character why I loved "The Americans" so much. She’s extraordinary!

The visual effects and production were well done in my opinion

A prequel to the original Dune, it tells the story of how the Sisterhood of Rossak evolved into the Bene Gesserit. The episode where Valya Harkonnen voices is from an event called “Mentats of Dune.” All three books intertwine the evolution of the Sisterhood, the Mentatis, the Navigators, and the Suk Doctors.

The story/plot seems a bit weak to be honest

It feels like they’re just trying to tell the story of Dune 1,000 years ago. We all know from the movies that the Sisterhood of Dune is just manipulating the great houses so they can have an Emperor/Empress to rule over, which we already have in Dune until Paul Atreadies decides to break the cycle.
